Description
Baseball Highlights: 2045 throws you into a futuristic version of America's pastime where cyborgs, robots, and enhanced athletes compete for victory. Each player manages their own team, not by rolling dice to simulate plays, but by strategically building a team deck of player cards. The core of the game revolves around simulated six-game series. You'll draw a hand of cards and play them strategically, trying to outmaneuver your opponent. Each card represents a player with unique abilities – some are great hitters, others are defensive wizards, and a few might even have special robotic enhancements that can drastically alter the game. You'll constantly be making tough choices: do you play your best hitter now, or save them for a crucial moment? As you win games, you'll earn the opportunity to purchase new, more powerful players from a shared pool, adding them to your deck and improving your team's overall capabilities.

But it's not just about having the best players; you'll need to manage your hand effectively and be prepared to react to your opponent's moves. Some cards even allow you to "take that," disrupting your opponent's plans or directly hindering their performance. The tension builds as the series progresses, with each game potentially swinging the momentum. It's a satisfying feeling to watch your carefully constructed team come together, executing a winning strategy against a worthy opponent. The game offers a unique blend of deck building and hand management within the context of a familiar sport, making for a strategic and engaging experience that keeps you on your toes from the first pitch to the final out.
