Overview
Biblios places players in the roles of abbots vying to create the most impressive library during the medieval era. Each round presents you with a series of cards, representing valuable books, rare inks, and even the crucial influence of the Bishop and the dice. You'll decide which cards to keep for yourself, which to donate to the church for later auction, and which to give to your opponents, balancing immediate gains with long-term strategy.
The game features a clever two-phase structure. First, players draft cards, carefully considering the value of each resource and how it might help them build sets of specific book types. Then, the auction phase begins, where players bid for the cards donated to the church, using gold earned from the initial drafting. The fluctuating value of the dice throughout the game adds an element of press-your-luck, making each decision impactful and potentially game-changing as you compete to amass the most prestigious collection of knowledge.
