Overview

In Canopy, you and a fellow player act as competing rainforest ecologists, each carefully cultivating their own unique section of the rainforest. You'll be drafting cards from a shared pool, strategically selecting plants, animals, and other elements to build the most thriving and diverse ecosystem possible. Be wary though, as some cards can introduce harsh weather conditions or other dangers that can hinder your progress.

The core gameplay loop revolves around evaluating growth piles, deciding whether to claim the top card for your forest or pass and allow the pile to accumulate more potential resources. This push-your-luck element adds a layer of tension and strategic decision-making, as you balance the immediate benefits of claiming a card with the potential rewards of waiting for a more valuable combination. Careful planning and an understanding of synergy between elements is vital to creating a balanced, thriving forest.
