Overview

In Castles of Mad King Ludwig, you are tasked with designing extravagant castles for the eccentric monarch. Each player drafts room tiles, carefully selecting and placing them to create interconnected chambers, hallways, and towers. The key is to satisfy the King's whimsical demands while also creating rooms that synergize with each other for bonus points.

As you build, you'll manage your finances, because the cost of each room depends on its type and the current market value. Furthermore, one player each round is the Master Builder, setting the prices for the other players to purchase tiles from, which adds a layer of negotiation and economic strategy to the game. Successfully completing rooms and fulfilling the King's Favor cards will earn you victory points, but be careful not to box yourself in – efficient castle design is paramount to winning the Mad King's favor!
