Overview

In Citadels, players compete to become the most prestigious master builder by constructing an impressive medieval city. Each round, players secretly draft character cards, each granting unique abilities and strategic advantages, such as extra gold, the ability to eliminate another player's turn, or special building powers. Choosing the right character at the right time is crucial for thwarting opponents and maximizing your own construction efforts.

Players then use their characters' abilities to gather gold and construct districts, aiming to be the first to complete eight districts or to amass the highest score based on the value and type of districts built. The game is a blend of strategic card drafting, tactical building, and social interaction, as players attempt to anticipate their opponents' actions and outmaneuver them to secure victory.
