In Cyclades, players compete to build two metropolises, earning the favor of the ancient Greek gods through strategic bidding. Each round, you'll vie for the blessings of deities like Poseidon for naval dominance, Ares for military strength, Zeus for divine intervention, and others. Winning a god's favor grants specific actions: deploying troops across the islands, constructing buildings, drafting powerful creature cards from mythology, or moving your fleets to control vital sea routes. The auction for these gods determines player turn order, creating a dynamic ebb and flow of power throughout the game.

As you expand your influence across the Cyclades archipelago, you'll build temples to generate prosperity, strongholds to defend your territories, and harbors to launch naval expeditions. The creature cards, representing mythical beasts like the Kraken and Medusa, add a layer of unpredictable power, allowing you to disrupt opponents and seize advantages. Dice rolls influence battles and creature abilities, injecting a touch of chance into the calculated strategy. The goal is simple: be the first to erect two magnificent metropolises, proving your civilization's supremacy amidst the divine powers and warring factions of ancient Greece.
