Eminent Domain

Eminent Domain puts players in the roles of leaders of burgeoning space-faring empires. Starting with a small, identical deck of cards representing basic skills like Warfare, Politics, and Production, you must expand your influence across the galaxy. On your turn, you select a Role card, triggering its primary action. Other players may then choose to Follow your Role by playing a matching card from their hand, gaining a weaker version of the same action. This creates a dynamic where you want to lead with Roles that benefit you most, while carefully considering what your opponents might have in their hands.

The core of the game is building your deck. As you Explore new planets, Colonize them, or conquer them through Warfare, you add these new planet cards to your deck. These planets provide resources and victory points. Throughout the game, you must decide whether to Focus on specializing your deck for maximum efficiency or diversifying it to adapt to any situation. Efficiently drafting and pruning your deck is key to outmaneuvering your opponents and establishing your Eminent Domain.
