In Flamecraft, players take on the roles of Flamekeepers, gathering goods, enchanting shops, and charming dragons to create a bustling and prosperous town. Each player strategically places their limited number of Flamekeepers on various shops in town, activating the shop's abilities to collect resources, enchant the shop with unique items, or host a dragon to gain favor. Managing your resources and optimizing the order in which you visit shops is crucial for maximizing your score.

The game features a blend of resource management and engine building, as you acquire resources to enchant shops which, in turn, provide more powerful actions.
