Overview

In Imperial, players take on the roles of international investors, not countries themselves.

Each investor purchases bonds in various European nations, influencing their policies and benefiting from their economic and military success. Players move fleets and armies to control key territories, build factories to generate income, and invest in technological advancements - all while vying for control of the nations themselves by strategically acquiring their bonds. The game ends when a nation reaches a set level of wealth or after a fixed number of rounds, and the player with the highest total value of bonds wins, representing their overall success in manipulating the global stage.
