Overview

In Sheriff of Nottingham, players take turns acting as the Sheriff, while the others try to smuggle goods into the city. As a merchant, your goal is to accumulate wealth by bringing legal goods like apples, bread, cheese, and chickens through the city gates. However, greater profits can be made by smuggling contraband like crossbows, mead, and silks, but beware if the Sheriff catches you, there are fines to pay!

Each round, players declare what goods they are bringing into the city. The Sheriff then decides who to inspect, based on their declarations and offers of bribes. Can you bluff your way past the Sheriff, or will you be caught with illicit goods? At the end of the game, the player with the most wealth wins.
