Overview

Star Realms: Colony Wars throws you into a fast-paced interstellar conflict where you compete to build the most powerful fleet and conquer your opponent. Each player starts with a small, weak deck of scout ships and trade outposts. Through cunning acquisitions from a central trade row, you'll gradually upgrade your forces, adding powerful warships, resilient bases, and trade hubs to your personal arsenal. The core of the game lies in strategically purchasing cards, utilizing their unique abilities and faction affiliations to trigger powerful combos. Scrapping weaker starting cards further refines your deck, creating a lean, efficient engine of destruction.

As you acquire cards, you'll be constantly balancing offense and defense. Attack power is used to diminish your opponent's authority, eventually reducing it to zero to claim victory. However, some cards provide valuable defensive capabilities, shielding you from enemy attacks and allowing you to withstand the onslaught. Every turn presents meaningful choices: do you invest in a powerful ship, hoping to deliver a decisive blow? Or do you reinforce your defenses, preparing for a protracted war of attrition? Playing Colony Wars feels like a constant push and pull, a tightrope walk between aggression and self-preservation, where every decision can swing the balance of power.
