Overview

The Downfall of Pompeii immerses players in the frantic escape from the doomed city as Mount Vesuvius erupts. In the initial phase, players populate Pompeii with their families, carefully placing them in houses across the city's grid. Each house claimed brings you closer to scoring points, but also increases your vulnerability when the volcano unleashes its fury.

As Vesuvius awakens, the game shifts dramatically. Players now trigger the eruption, drawing tiles that represent falling ash, lava bombs, and the inexorable advance of molten rock. Families caught in the destruction are eliminated, while others desperately flee through the city gates. The goal is to evacuate as many of your family members as possible before Pompeii is completely buried, scoring points for those who escape and minimizing the losses to the volcano's wrath.
