Description

Trajan challenges players to develop their influence and prestige in ancient Rome through clever management of resources and strategic action selection. At the heart of the game lies the Trajan board, a personal Mancala-style rondel from which players choose their actions. Each section of the rondel triggers a different action, from military campaigns and Senate influence to construction projects and trade routes.

Players must carefully plan their moves, considering the cascading effects of their choices. Collecting resources, fulfilling orders, and advancing along various tracks all contribute to a player's score, and the player who best balances their endeavors and maximizes their opportunities will emerge as the victor, leaving their mark on the Roman Empire.
