Description
Troyes throws you into the heart of medieval France as the head of a powerful family, vying for influence within the bustling city. Each player commands a limited pool of citizens, represented by colored dice, which are rolled each round and used to perform actions. These actions range from contributing to the construction of the magnificent cathedral, to defending the city walls against outside threats, or even plotting against your rivals to steal their hard-earned resources.

The core of the game lies in the careful allocation of these dice, both your own and those acquired from other players, to exert influence over key areas within Troyes. Managing your resources and strategically deploying your dice is crucial, as you'll constantly be faced with difficult choices: invest in long-term projects for lasting rewards, or react to immediate threats that could cripple your progress. Events, drawn each round, introduce unexpected twists, forcing players to adapt their strategies and contend with hardships like harsh winters or the spread of heresy. Through shrewd planning and a bit of luck with the dice, you must strive to build your family's legacy and leave your mark on the city of Troyes, earning lasting fame for your achievements.
