Overview

Under Falling Skies plunges you into a desperate solo defense against an encroaching alien invasion. Each game presents a unique scenario, challenging you to manage your resources and personnel effectively to research new technologies, push back the alien ships, and power your base. The core gameplay revolves around strategically placing dice – your workers – on the modular board to perform actions. These dice, however, also determine how much the alien ships descend, creating a constant tension between progress and imminent threat. You'll need to carefully consider which actions to prioritize, re-rolling dice to get the results you need while being mindful of the escalating danger.

The game's unique blend of worker placement and dice rolling creates a captivating puzzle. You’ll make difficult choices, such as sacrificing immediate gains for long-term objectives, or pushing your luck with risky dice rolls. Certain actions, usable only once per game, offer critical advantages at pivotal moments, demanding careful planning and timing. The threat of a sudden death ending keeps you constantly on edge, forcing you to balance short-term survival with the ultimate goal of pushing back the alien invaders across the entire campaign. Every decision feels impactful as you race against time in this intense solo experience.
