Cosmic Encounter

Cosmic Encounter is a classic science fiction strategy game where 3–5 players (up to 6 with expansions) take on the roles of unique alien species, each with a special ability that breaks the normal rules of the game. The goal is to establish five colonies on foreign planets by negotiating, allying, or battling other players. Each encounter is a mix of diplomacy and tactical card play, with alliances forming and shifting constantly.

What makes Cosmic Encounter truly stand out is its wild variability—over 50 alien powers in the base game alone create unpredictable combinations and interactions. The game rewards negotiation, bluffing, and clever timing more than raw strategy or luck. With a tone that's equal parts chaotic and comedic, it’s a social game where no two sessions feel the same.
