Description

Diplomacy puts players in control of one of the seven Great Powers of Europe at the dawn of the 20th century. The game revolves around forging alliances and issuing orders to your units (armies and fleets) on a map of Europe divided into territories and coastal regions. Each turn, you'll secretly write orders for your units, attempting to seize control of supply centers, which determine your nation's strength and ability to build more units.

What sets Diplomacy apart is the absence of dice or cards. Success hinges entirely on your ability to negotiate and manipulate other players. You must convince them to support your plans while discerning their true intentions, leading to a game of intricate alliances, backstabbing, and strategic maneuvering. All orders are revealed and executed simultaneously, leading to tense standoffs and unexpected shifts in power. The game continues until one player controls a majority of the supply centers, or until players agree to a draw.
